Waka Kōpapa: TAKING the LEAD

This is a 4-module online course covering practical strategies for educators responsible for learners with additional needs including all Gifted Coordinators, SENCos, RTLBs, future Coordinator’s and related professionals to lead provisions for learners with additional needs, such as gifted learners, in your school or kura. Waka Kopapa is designed to encourage networking opportunities while also providing individual support.

TGC Trust / The Head Office in Taranaki

The TGC Team offers professional learning opportunities for Taranaki educators twice a year. In 2021 we run the following workshops:

  • May 12 - The Head Office - a programme for students with advanced yet complex learning needs. Find out more about our locally developed curriculum, what a day at the Head Office looks like and how we can support schools to meet the needs of their gifted students. Facilitator is our Lead Teacher Kim Gillanders.
  • May 26 - The Gifted Brain - A workshop with Clinical Psychologist Chantal Hofstee that will cover latest brain research, psychology and exercises to learn more about the neurodiverse brain and the needs of neurodiverse learners.
